I checked out “No Country for Old Men” at the Blockbuster. It was only after it won many of the Oscar awards that I had even heard of it. I did not know any of the actors except for Tommy Lee Jones and Josh Brolin. The latter actor I do not know too much about but I do admire Tommy Lee Jones. Anyway, the cat and mouse chase throughout the movie was scary and intense and kept you at the edge of your seat. However, the very end when Tommy Lee Jones made the speech and then the closing credits started rolling………WTF?!? How does that speech tie up all the loose ends of the movie? I asked 3 different friends what the ending was all about and none of them understood it either. What happens to the psycho killer? Are we to assume he killed the girl? More importantly, where the hell is the satchel full of money?
Have you ever had an itchy nose and you were just waiting for that great big sneeze to come as a release………..and then it just kind of fades away. You know how unsatisfying that feeling is? Well, that’s exactly how I felt about the ending of this movie. If anyone out there can explain it, I would be most appreciative.
